Just as sturdy and dependable as the workhorse it was named after. Legend has it, Wilberforce the horse could go all day without tiring, even in Australia’s unforgiving climate. So when you feel the same in Hong Kong’s icky stickiness, refresh yourself with this low yield citrusy drop.
When it comes to wine families, Sam and Jock Auld are the real deal. It’d be hard not to become a vino obsessive when your Barossa Valley upbringing meant dried grape seeds cushioning falls from the monkey bars and early morning pruning as teens. But given their pioneering great-grandfather planted some of SA’s very first vines, it was written. If the Auld family name had been used consistently for the last six generations, it might be as renowned as Penfolds. But as one of the ‘in crowd’, we’re kind of pleased it isn’t.
FROM THE WINEMAKER
"Our Eden Valley Riesling shows intense floral aromas coupled with hints of citrus on the nose. On the palate, there’s great depth, with notes of lime and clementine coming to the fore. The wine shows length & regional minerality, finishing with crisp Eden Valley acidity. The vineyards are located at the southern end of the valley, which means they were protected from much of the searing summer heat. The grapes were picked overnight in early March at perfect ripeness. Lower yields produced intensity and chalkiness in the fruit."FOOD MATCH

Not normally a fan of resiling however this makes a nice change from Sav or Chardonnay. Lemon, lime and crispness is what this is about.
